East of Antalya, Turkey - 3-9 October 2015 - Lepidoptera and Odonata

Staying at an all inclusive hotel, I wasn't too hopeful about the invertebrate life I would encounter during our week in Turkey. I was amazed by the sheer numbers of Hummingbird Hawkmoths around the hotel with up to 15 HBHMs on a single Lantana camara plant. The most exciting invertebrate of the trip was Plain Tiger which was a real show stopper and surprisingly common with about 20 seen on the trip. There were Long-tailed Blue and Lang's Short-tailed Blue feeding on the hotel plants as well as several white which I failed to ID.
Our day trip to the Green Canyon proved quite frustrating as several very impressive butterfly flew past the boat, but views were never good enough to ID.
